Becoming a Freemason is a personal journey that requires reflection, sincerity, and commitment.
The Universal Grand Lodge welcomes those who wish to undertake this process of personal development and spiritual search.

Admission Requirements

Provide a clean criminal record

Demonstrate sincerity and motivation

Pay the membership fee 666 € (entrance fee)
How to apply?
Two options are available to you:
1. Through Sponsorship
A Brother who is a member of a Lodge can sponsor you and present your application.
2. Direct Application

What is the path to becoming a Freemason?
The process consists of several steps that can take several months
First Interview
Meeting with the master of a Lodge for an initial general interview to discuss your motivations and approach.
The Investigation Interviews
Meeting with three members of the Lodge to understand your motivations, desires, and life path. These interviews allow the Brothers and the candidate to get to know each other better.
Result: Preparation of reports called 'investigations' followed by a first ballot.
The blindfold test
If the first ballot is positive, you will be received in the Lodge for the trial of the blindfold. This exchange allows the other Brothers to meet you and converse with you.
Outcome: A new ballot to validate your admission.
The initiation
If the ballot is positive, during an upcoming meeting (called a 'tenue') of the Lodge, you will be initiated as an Apprentice Freemason.
